QUALIFICATIONS
Essential criteria
1. Good standard of education including Maths and English GCSE
2. Computer qualification e.g. ECDL or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
3. Reception and telephone work with direct client/patient contact
4. Booking appointments / maintaining a diary system
5. Problem solving
6. Able to prioritise work, negotiate and make decisions
7. Able to work both as part of a team and also using own initiative
Desirable criteria
8. Experience of hospital/care work
Technical Skills/ Competencies
Essential criteria
9. Keyboard/typing skills (eg. RSA II or equivalent experience)
10. Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the following Windows applications - Outlook, Word and Excel.
11. Able to file and maintain accurate records.
12. Data accuracy on computer systems.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
13. Able to comprehend the nature of the work, the Data Protection Act, and able to comprehend the importance of accuracy in all aspects of work.
14. Knowledge of patient pathways and RTT waiting times
Desirable criteria
15. .Knowledge of Camis and other hospital computer system.
Interpersonal Skills
Essential criteria
16. Able to communicate with a wide range of people face to face, and by telephone.
17. Able to work under pressure amid interruptions.
