This role involves carrying out engineering maintenance on all electrical services, systems, plant, and equipment (planned and breakdown) as well as electrical installation works in accordance with current regulations.

Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, Priority, and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who demonstrate recent relevant experience as per the Person Specification.
This position requires a time-served electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent. It is an entry-level trade position into hospital engineering, with additional training provided to perform maintenance tasks across all electrical hospital engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities include:
1. Perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance and other duties as trained.
2. Diagnose and repair faults in complex electrical and mechanical systems per regulations.
3. Work on various hospital electrical systems including installations, emergency generators, control systems, motors, nurse call, fire alarms, lighting, heating, ventilation, boilers, building management, and communication systems.
4. Manufacture, assemble, and install new electrical work independently within standard timescales.
5. Perform repairs and maintenance on engineering plant and equipment.
6. Utilize test equipment and tools effectively.
7. Interpret complex drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
8. Plan daily work based on supervisor-issued work orders.
9. Adhere to health and safety, Trust policies, and regulations.
