About the Role
The Limes Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for a receptionist to work within our front of house team. We have two part-time vacancies available, with the hours below:
Role 1:
* Monday 13:00-17:30
* Tuesday 08:00-13:00
* Wednesday 13:00-18:30
* Thursday 08:30-13:00
* Friday 13:30-18:30
Role 2:
* Tuesday 14:00-18:30
* Thursday 13:00-17:30
* Friday 08:00-13:00
There is more to our receptionist roles than answering phones and making appointments. In this essential front-line role, receptionists help patients access the right services, ensure appointment bookings are well-managed, provide high-quality service, and assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date.
The main responsibilities include:
* Greeting and directing all patients.
* Making appointments and distributing appointment cards as needed.
* Handling prescriptions, letters, forms, specimen bottles, etc.
* Managing requests for information, problems, and complaints.
* Advising patients on practice procedures.
* Registering new patients.
* Supporting our 'on duty' team.
* Answering the telephone promptly.
Further training will be available to support your professional development.
About the Candidate
We are seeking a receptionist to join our busy practice team and positively impact our local community. We welcome applications from organized, adaptable, and friendly individuals who are committed to high customer service levels and possess:
* Excellent communication skills with a polite and clear telephone manner.
* The ability to work confidentially, discreetly, and respectfully with patients.
* Experience working with the public, demonstrating sensitivity and empathy in distressing situations.
* Confidence to work as part of a team and think on your feet.
* Strong IT and administrative skills.
* Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable.
Some flexibility is required, as additional or alternative hours may be needed to cover colleagues.
