We’re recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client, a respected and growing consultancy with over 15 years of industry expertise. Specializing in Structural Design, Civil Engineering, and Party Wall Surveying, they’ve built a strong reputation through quality delivery and repeat business across the domestic, light industrial, and leisure sectors.
As part of their strategic expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Structural Engineer or Senior Technician Engineer to play a pivotal role within their structures team.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage structural calculations and site-specific soil investigations.
Produce and oversee AutoCAD drawings, including layout plans, sections, and detailed construction/fabrication documentation.
Work on varied projects up to £1 million, with a focus on domestic-scale builds.
Apply knowledge of drainage systems, roads, and parking areas (domestic scale).
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Risk Assessments and CDM regulations.
Act as Principal Designer where required.
✅ Requirements:
Chartered Engineer status preferred (MIStructE or MICE), or working towards it.
Must reside within 20 miles of Cambridge.
Strong independent project delivery skills with commercial awareness.
Solid experience in domestic/residential and light industrial structural projects.
