ASAP Start - Bath
Are you a patient, resilient, and compassionate individual looking to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have a passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning within a mainstream primary school environment? If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive school in Bath.
A welcoming, vibrant, and child-focused primary school in Bath is currently seeking a Classroom Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs across Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2. The school is committed to providing targeted support while ensuring pupils remain fully integrated within the mainstream classroom, promoting inclusion, emotional wellbeing, and positive learning experiences.
As a Classroom Assistant, you will work closely with other teachers to provide both classroom-based support and targeted interventions. This may include providing 1:1 support or working with small groups, helping pupils regulate emotions, develop social skills, and engage positively with their learning. You will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where pupils feel supported to succeed.
This rewarding role is ideal for individuals with experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs, or those from backgrounds such as youth work, care, mentoring, coaching, or education. Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, or emotional regulation challenges would be highly beneficial but is not essential.
