Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Part Time Supported Housing Officer to join one of Adecco's most improved housing clients in a temporary assignment, initially for 1-2 months, suitable for an immediately available candidate.
Based in North London, this role is for 26 hours each week (Monday to Friday) and reports to the Housing Manager within the Tenancy Services department. Previous experience working with vulnerable clients, especially the elderly, is highly desirable.
Key duties include:
* Assessing residents referred to the services and liaising with referral agencies as needed
* Coordinating viewings and lettings in the Older Adults Schemes to minimize void loss
* Ensuring properties meet health and safety standards before letting and completing post-let works
* Assisting residents with move-in procedures, tenancy sign-ups, and introducing them to their new home and neighbors
* Helping residents maximize income and benefits entitlement, including Housing Benefit and Universal Credit applications
* Working with residents to meet objectives in their housing and wellbeing plans, reviewing as needed
* Maintaining a network of relevant agencies and referring residents appropriately
* Ensuring the security, health, and safety of residents and their homes
* Collaborating with repairs and neighborhood teams to maintain homes and communal areas
* Supporting in-house Tenancy Officers with managing tenancy breaches
* Organizing meetings and events to promote resident engagement and participation
Applicants should be available on short notice, ideally immediately, with housing management experience and supporting vulnerable clients, such as older adults. Interviews will be conducted virtually in late September/early October.
