Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 8 years of experience in software development.
* 5 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
* 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
* Experience working with operating systems, computer architecture, embedded systems and Linux/Unix kernel, etc.
* Experience in low level programming on C or C++.
Preferred qualifications
* Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
* 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
* 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
* 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
* Experience with System Software in any of the following areas - ARM/ARM64 architecture, compilers, firmware, operating systems, linux kernel, filesystems/storage, device drivers, performance tuning, networking, tools, tests, virtualization, platform libraries, etc.
* Knowledge of the Android platform.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop and roll out features for billions of users.
* Work on core system components including Memory Management, Scheduling, Power, Storage, Virtualization, Networking.
* Scale development across a growing number of verticals (Wear, Auto, TV, Large Screen, etc.).
* Create and maintain a reliable, secure and robust foundation for the Android software ecosystem.
* Create and ship Generic Kernel Image for billions of devices.
