About the Role
We are seeking a Senior environmental professional to support our Environmental Management and Assessment Team in London or South East locations (London, Cambridge, Guildford, Reading, Basingstoke, Southampton). Our portfolio includes projects across sectors such as energy, aviation, nuclear, rail, property, and local government. We need creative, dedicated individuals with a solid grounding in environmental design, assessment, and management throughout the project lifecycle.
As part of WSP, one of the UK's largest environmental consultancies, you'll work on high-profile projects, from small developments to major infrastructure schemes. Our Environmental Management and Assessment Team oversees environmental inputs, engaging early in project concepts to shape sustainable solutions, and working through design, consent, and construction phases to ensure environmental commitments are met and enhanced.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide environmental advice to clients and project teams
* Manage environmental inputs such as EIAs, environmental constraints studies, and management plans
* Oversee project delivery, including quality, technical, and safety performance
* Build client relationships and support business development activities
* Contribute to innovative techniques like Digital EIA and technical excellence initiatives
* Mentor junior colleagues and promote an inclusive, health-conscious workplace
Candidate Profile
* Relevant environmental degree, with progress towards Chartered status and IEMA membership preferred
* Experience in EIA processes within multidisciplinary teams
* Knowledge of environmental legislation and project management
* Strong communication skills, report writing, and client liaison experience
* Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
