The opportunity
We are recruiting an Investment Senior PR Manager for a leading organisation in the asset management sector. This high-profile role will drive the organisation’s consumer brand reputation across investment and trade media, positioning the business as a top-three name for mentions and positive sentiment in key national and specialist publications.
Working closely with the Director, you will help orchestrate a high-performing press office team, delivering a fully integrated corporate communications and media engagement strategy that strengthens brand awareness and reputation in a competitive market.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the press office capability targeting professional and institutional audiences
* Building strong relationships with journalists across UK investment, trade, and specialist media
* Developing thought leadership, opinion pieces, and features that cut through in the media and align with the brand narrative
* Creating and delivering a segmented B2B media engagement plan, including events, speaker opportunities, and award submissions
* Supporting and enabling B2B marketing campaigns with aligned PR strategies
* Maintaining and leveraging a roster of credible spokespeople for print, radio, and broadcast opportunities
* Streamlining and optimising the use of external agencies to maximise value and cost-effectiveness
The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong connections with UK journalists in asset management, IFA, and institutional/professional investor media, ideally with some international experience
* At least 3 years’ experience in asset management PR or journalism
* A proven track record in building media relationships and creating stories that resonate with target audiences
* A keen news sense and strong understanding of the asset management sector
* Excellent writing skills and the ability to adapt complex topics for different media platforms
* A collaborative and proactive approach, with strong influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders
