Role & Responsibilities As a Learning Support Assistant in the ASD provision, you will: Work one-to-one or in small groups, supporting students with Autism to access the curriculum Assist with differentiated learning activities, scaffolding tasks as needed Support students’ social, emotional and behavioural development Help to implement behaviour plans or communication systems (e.g., visual aids) Liaise closely with teachers, SENCo and other professionals to track progress and adapt support Promote independence and self-advocacy in students, encouraging them to build life skills and resilience What We’re Looking For Our ideal candidate will have: Experience of working with Autism (either with children or young adults), either in a school-based setting or another environment SEN experience, including supporting individuals with additional learning needs Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young people’s growth and development A collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team Why Work With GSL Education?
