Volunteering Opportunities at a Care Home
Our volunteers are a great asset to our homes and care teams. They support us in enriching our residents' lives and remaining truly connected to the communities in which they live. From school children who volunteer to participate, to retired professionals who want to give something back, our volunteers are as diverse as our teams and residents.
We are a not-for-profit organisation specialising in care homes for the elderly across England and Scotland. We have 18 services in Scotland, providing tailored care and support to people with a range of care needs.
Our care homes include:
* Glenfairn House Care Home – Ayr
* Queens Care Home – Prestwick
* Howard House Care Home – Kilmarnock
* Kintyre House Care Home – Invergordon

Travel expenses
Volunteers may need to travel to locations other than their usual place of volunteering. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with the Travel and Subsistence Group Procedure. Each home may choose to cover travel expenses from the volunteer's home to the care home as a gesture of goodwill. We are mindful of individual financial situations and encourage you to discuss any concerns with your supervisor.
