About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Management Accountant to join their Operational Finance function based in Glasgow. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a central part in the production of financial information and support a forward-thinking organisation.
This is a commercially driven position where you’ll act as a key business partner, producing accurate management accounts, delivering insightful financial analysis, and helping the business understand and manage operational cost drivers across a diverse supplier and client base.
Main Duties
1. Prepare monthly management accounts for designated business areas.
2. Manage all month-end activities, ensuring timelines are consistently achieved.
3. Work alongside commercial teams to provide clear analysis of variances against budget and forecast.
4. Lead regular performance and review meetings, ensuring actions are recorded and progressed.
5. Develop a strong understanding of operational and contractual cost drivers.
6. Contribute to the annual budgeting cycle.
7. Maintain robust controls over balance sheet reconciliations.
