HR Operations Manager
Stratford Upon Avon
About Us
We're a boutique HR consultancy with a big personality and an even bigger impact. At
The HR Consultants
, we help organisations across the UK create workplaces their people love – with
no HR blah blah blah
.
Our services span the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, HR advice, administration, training, people strategy and everything in between. We've been growing fast for the last 6 years, supporting hundreds of businesses and more than 50,000 employees – and we're not slowing down.
That's where you come in.
* We've got the clients.
* We've got the HR experts.
* We need you to help us take things to the next level.
The Role
Reporting to the MD, you'll play a pivotal role in scaling our HR support services as we double the number of clients we support by 2026. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance people management, complex casework, and client projects.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and supporting our HR delivery team (advice, admin, projects), ensuring high performance and strong collaboration.
* Advising clients on complex ER issues (performance, sickness, grievance, redundancy, etc.), always with a commercial focus.
* Overseeing HR projects such as restructures, redundancies and transformation programmes, ensuring delivery is on time, in full, and communicated brilliantly.
* Managing client onboarding across subscriptions, projects and recruitment services.
* Acting as a point of escalation for clients when needed.
* Partnering with the MD and Customer Experience Specialist to improve processes and services.
* Supporting marketing activity with LinkedIn posts and occasional content.
* Potential to develop and deliver engaging client training sessions (e.g. line manager programmes).
What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
* Solid HR generalist experience, ideally at Manager level or above.
* A strong track record advising on complex ER cases.
* Experience leading and developing a team.
* Commercially minded, fast-paced, and able to juggle priorities.
Nice-to-haves / Personality fit:
* A positive, solutions-focused attitude (definitely not a mood-hoover).
* Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone and MS Teams.
* Collaborative, approachable and fun to work with.
* Hungry for growth and development, for yourself and others.
* Previous experience of working in a consultancy environment.
* Skilled in designing and delivering training workshops.
Why You'll Love Working With Us
* Salary will be circa £45,000-£50,000 per annum
* Hybrid working – office in Stratford-upon-Avon Mon–Wed, home the other 2 days.
* Lots of growth and development opportunities (we'd love you to grow your career with us, but we know we'll help you wherever life takes you).
* Office perks – cake station, bar for end-of-day wind downs, and a brilliant central Stratford location for river walks, shopping or Shakespeare history on your lunchbreak.
* A friendly, supportive team who don't take themselves too seriously.
* All the sensible stuff too: parking, holidays, Christmas shutdown, private health, pension.
* And most importantly – you'll be part of a consultancy that makes a
real
difference. Over the last 6 years, we've helped more than 50,000 people have a better experience at work.
