This post offers an exciting opportunity to join NAHSCP’s Children and Families Senior Management Team, overseeing Children’s Residential Services, Fostering, Adoption, Kinship Care, and Throughcare. We’re seeking an experienced and aspirational leader who shares North Ayrshire Council’s values of Focus, Passion, and Inspiration, and can successfully lead our ambitious transformation programme aimed at improving outcomes for care-experienced young people, those transitioning to adulthood, and those on the edge of care.
In line with our Promise commitments, the HSCP focuses on providing the right support and intervention to allow children and young people to remain with their birth or wider family whenever possible, preventing them from entering local authority care. We have ambitious plans to reform pathways of support for care-experienced children and young people. Our Brighter Pathways Programme aligns with the North Ayrshire Promise Development Plan and involves focused workstreams to deliver services differently, ensuring access to appropriate resources and supports into adulthood.
With your leadership and experience, this programme will deliver real change, helping our care-experienced young people grow up in nurturing environments and lead healthy, successful independent lives.
