The RoleAs a Production Manager, you will take full accountability for delivering production performance across your area, ensuring targets relating to output, quality, cost and delivery are consistently achieved.This is a pivotal leadership role within the operation, requiring a strong focus on continuous improvement, people development and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting new product introduction (NPI), and embedding a high-performance culture aligned to business objectives.Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of production targets, ensuring alignment with customer schedules and quality standards
* Drive achievement of KPIs across safety, quality, cost and delivery on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
* Analyse production data and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
* Lead, coach and develop a team of Supervisors to build a high-performing, flexible workforce
* Establish and review manning requirements in line with production plans and training matrices
* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring process effectiveness and compliance
* Promote and embed Lean manufacturing principles, including TPM, 5S and waste reduction initiatives
* Manage departmental budgets, including overtime control in line with business objectives
* Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and IATF standards
* Drive effective cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, HR, Finance and Supply Chain
* Manage employee relations matters, including performance, conduct and engagement
* Ensure robust communication across teams to enhance engagement and operational performance
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a Production Manager or senior manufacturing leadership role
* Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) within a relevant discipline
* Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams
* Demonstrated ability to drive performance within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
* Experience of Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
* Good understanding of Health & Safety and regulatory compliance within manufacturing
