Role Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with strong leadership and communication skills to guide our team towards achieving sales and KPI targets while delivering unparalleled customer service.
Responsibilities
* Support the Store Manager in running all store operations to meet or exceed sales and KPI targets.
* Set clear sales goals, track performance and evolve processes to drive continuous store growth.
* Recruit, train and develop staff, fostering a positive team culture.
* Analyze sales data and financial reports to make data‑driven decisions alongside the Store Manager.
* Act as the point of contact for colleagues in the manager’s absence.
* Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints professionally.
* Manage day‑to‑day operations including opening and closing procedures.
* Support cash management tasks such as processing transactions and reconciling tills.
* Participate in hiring, onboarding and training new employees.
* Provide feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve performance.
* Help maintain colleague schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.
Role Objectives & KPI’s
* Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target.
* Drive additional KPIs: Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT and upselling or cross‑selling targets.
* Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
* Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
* Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
* Ensure employee satisfaction and engagement survey results meet or exceed company benchmarks.
* Assist in keeping operational costs within the allocated budget.
Skills and Experience
* Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast‑paced retail/customer‑facing environment.
* Passionate about retail and knowledgeable about the latest trends and competitors.
* Experience coaching and developing individuals.
* Strong communication skills.
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPI’s.
* Experience analysing KPI data to make commercial decisions.
* Keen eye for detail and commerciality.
* Previous experience in visual merchandising is advantageous.
