NDT Radiography Technician - Submarines role at Rolls-Royce. An opportunity within Nuclear (Submarines) based in Derby. You will be working within a team that is committed to continuous improvement and reducing non-conformance across products and processes. Where non-conformance to specification occurs, you will be required to manage the non-conformance in line with the Rolls-Royce quality management system.

What You Will Be Doing
You will work to Technical Instructions to deliver consistent, high quality Inspection across a variety of different components and product families.
* Maintaining a high level of process compliance and sustainment, including calibration of gauges and measurement equipment.
* Completing NDT inspections on a variety of components with a range of NDT techniques (PT, MT & RT).
* Interpreting manufacturing drawings and written specifications.
* Assessing components produced within the facility against quality standards and having the ability to make decisions with suitable justifications for your conclusions.
* Working within a team to effectively resolve issues and collaborating with internal and external customers to continuously improve business performance.
Qualifications and Experience
* Basic Radiation Safety (BRS).
* PCN Radiographic Testing Level 2 (welds).
* PCN Dye Penetrant Testing Level 2 (desirable).
* PCN Magnetic Particle Testing Level 2 (desirable).
* PCN Radiographic Testing Level 2 (dense metals) (desirable).
* Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) (desirable).
* Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, quality standards and process specifications.
* Pro-active and capable of managing time effectively.
* Awareness of HS&E requirements.
* Basic understanding of operating IT systems and core Microsoft Office applications.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently have this in place. Due to the nature of work, you must hold UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
