This part-time role is based in a well-kept three-bedroom semi-detached home with a bathroom, lounge, kitchen, and garden. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean and organised home environment while offering practical day-to-day support to the couple. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with a gentle, kind, and happy demeanour, who enjoys helping others and understands the importance of supporting older adults in maintaining their dignity and independence. Fluency in Greek is advantageous (as the couple are Greek), but not essential for the right person who can communicate with warmth and patience. Key Responsibilities Housekeeping : Perform thorough and regular cleaning of all rooms (kitchen, lounge, bathroom, bedrooms), including hoovering, dusting, washing floors, and ironing. Laundry and Washing : Manage the washing and ironing of clothes and linens. Meal Support : Assist with preparing and cooking meals or support the lady of the house in the kitchen, as she enjoys cooking. Friendly Presence : Spend time with the couple during visits, offering a warm and kind presence as part of a stable daily routine. Light Assistance : Help with practical tasks like changing light bulbs or picking up small shopping items. Outings and Walks : Accompany the lady of the house on short local walks or assist with light errands. Requirements Previous experience in housekeeping and/or working with elderly individuals in a care or supportive capacity. Kind, patient, and friendly personality with a respectful and positive attitude. Able to support independence rather than take over tasks unnecessarily. Trustworthy and reliable, with verifiable references. Confident working unsupervised and using initiative. Basic understanding of elderly wellbeing, including simple reminders and general observation. Fluent in English with good communication skills. Desirable: Background in cleaning roles with strong attention to detail and hygiene. Experience in elderly care, support work, or family help roles.
