Job Title: Commercial Gas / Heating Engineer Location: HMP Northumberland Salary: £40,000 – £43,000 plus on-call allowance and excellent benefits Contract: Full Time, Permanent About the Role We are looking for a qualified Commercial Gas / Heating Engineer to join our Facilities Management team at HMP Northumberland. This is a secure, stable, and long-term role maintaining commercial gas and heating systems across a large, well-maintained site. What You’ll Be Doing Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas and heating systems Completing gas safety inspections and certification (CP15, CP17) Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works Ensuring all work complies with Gas Safe and Health & Safety regulations Supporting the safe and reliable operation of the establishment Participating in the on-call rota (with additional allowance) What We’re Looking For Essential: Gas Safe registered Commercial ACS qualifications (COCN1, CDGA1, ICPN1 or equivalent) Experience working on commercial gas and heating systems Ability to work independently and manage your workload Desirable: Facilities Management or large-site maintenance experience What We Offer Salary £40,000 – £43,000 On-call allowance and overtime opportunities Stable, permanent employment in a secure environment Structured working hours and predictable workload Generous pension scheme 33 days holiday including bank holidays Employee discounts, gym offers, and wellbeing support Full training and development opportunities Why Join Us?
