Overview
Part-time linen room assistant position in a dynamic, fast-paced team at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Working hours: 32.75 hours per week.
As a linen room assistant you will ensure that all wards, departments, theatres and any other area requiring linen are provided with daily deliveries. Prioritise demands from users of the service. Organise, checking, storage and issue of clean linen to end users. Count and record daily linen stock deliveries from Laundry. Participate in linen counts and stock checks on wards and departments as required. Organise and prioritise your day-to-day tasks. Use initiative in response to emergency situations regarding linen supplies or shortages.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients. The Trust works with wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership and operates from three locations:
* The Countess of Chester Hospital: 438 general and acute beds
* Ellesmere Port Hospital: 56 beds (rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient)
* Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: base for community services
The Trust employs over 5,916 staff and provides acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services and obstetric services to a population of approximately 411,000.
Note: Applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. DBS Update Service available for a small annual fee. New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
