Planning, Property and Development Principal Lawyer
(Town Hall, South Shields/Hybrid)
£57,869 per annum
South Tyneside Council is seeking a qualified lawyer to undertake a mix of property and planning work. Working with a small but skilled and dedicated team, this is an opportunity to play a central role in a variety of high profile and high value regeneration projects, and contribute to the work being done to achieve the Council’s ambitions.
Responsibilities
* Undertake non‑contentious property transactions and planning work
* Play a central role in high profile regeneration projects
* Support major regeneration initiatives with a pragmatic approach
Requirements
* Experience of non‑contentious property transactions and/or planning law and procedure
* Strong expertise in either property or planning, with an interest in developing knowledge in the other
* Pragmatic approach to supporting major regeneration initiatives
Working Arrangement
The role can be undertaken on a hybrid basis; attendance at Planning Committee meetings once a month is required.
