Job title: P6 Project Planning Engineer

Job Purpose
The Role of the Planning Engineer is directly responsible for supporting projects and business operations as directed by the Project Control Manager. The Planning Engineer is responsible for ensuring the planning support is delivered effectively, efficiently, and consistently in accordance with approved business planning process and contractual project requirements.
Main Responsibilities
1. Supporting the projects teams with all planning and resourcing requirements and keeping track of progress and reporting to management both internal and external clients.
2. Producing project plans from tender stages (high level) up to detailed level 4 plans baseline and completion programmes.
3. Pick out milestones and KPI and highlight them.
4. Produce MI status reports to stakeholders detailing progress, delays, and slippages.
5. Production, maintenance of management of project performance tools.
6. Production and maintenance of project schedules.
7. Primavera Administration and Maintenance.

Planning Support is managed and delivered globally from our UK offices in order to assure and coordinate the following:
* Assure Planning consistency across all projects.
* Coordinate Planning resources to sustain support to all projects and internal business needs.
* The Planning Engineer is likely to support multiple live projects concurrently.
The planning function exists to provide a proactive and efficient global support to projects within the business following the following disciplines:
* Bid Support
* Business Plans
* Project Planning and Scheduling
* Project Progress and Performance
* Bespoke Schedules and decision-making activities
* Planning Systems Administration
* Planning support Assets and Vessels
Essential Skills
1. 5 years of planning experience using P6, MSP
2. A good working knowledge of Primavera P6
3. Producing Project Plans from tender stages up to detailed level 4 plans
4. Understanding tender documents and drawings
5. Ability to resource and cost load programs
Desirable Skills but not essential
* Planner to come from a renewables sector (wind) industry
* Experience in working within any power-producing industries or industrial construction
* Nebosh qualification advantageous
* Knowledge of HSE
