At AO, we make things simple - and that applies just as much to tax as it does to helping customers find the right fridge.
We’re looking for a Tax Accountant to join our Group Finance team and play a key role in keeping our UK tax compliance running smoothly. Reporting into the Tax Manager, you’ll support both direct and indirect tax responsibilities, helping ensure we stay compliant, accurate and well‑prepared in a constantly changing tax landscape.
This role is a great opportunity to deepen your tax compliance and tax accounting experience, working across VAT, corporate tax and employment taxes, while also getting involved in a variety of commercial and project‑based work. You’ll work closely with finance teams across the business, helping solve problems, improve processes and make sure tax considerations are built into decision‑making from day one.
You’ll be someone who enjoys detail, likes understanding how things work end‑to‑end, and feels comfortable balancing routine compliance with more ad‑hoc, interesting challenges.
Our people are our superpower, and we’re unstoppable when we’re together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite, 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we we’re together!
