Design & Technology Teacher (DT / Engineering) – Full Time, ASAP Start Secondary School | South Ruislip
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher with the ability to teach DT across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a specialism or confidence in Engineering. The ability to teach at Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but is not essential.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and forward-thinking practitioner to join a supportive and well-resourced department. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop technical knowledge, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities within a hands-on learning environment.
The Role:
Deliver high-quality lessons in Design & Technology and/or Engineering
Plan engaging, practical lessons that motivate and challenge learners
Prepare students for GCSE examinations (and A-Level if applicable)
Maintain high standards of health and safety in workshops
Assess, track, and report on student progress
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have experience teaching DT/Engineering at secondary level
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and workshop competence
Be organised, proactive, and committed to raising attainment
Have excellent classroom management and communication skills We offer:
