Make a Real Impact as a Functional Skills English Tutor. Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with EAL needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support in Functional Skills English for Level 1 students. These in-person sessions in Uxbridge offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment. This job is in-person in the Uxbridge area. Day(s): Weekdays Hour(s): 1 hr/week Time(s): school hours Subject and Level: Functional Skills Entry Level 1, English Start date: As soon as possible Rate of pay: £35 p/h What You'll Do Provide 1:1 tuition that is appropriate for the individuals needs and study level Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager Requirements We're looking for someone who has: A Bachelor’s degree 1 years of tutoring / teaching experience. Experience working with students with EAL needs An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
