Responsibilities
As Procurement you have responsibility for managing the procurement process, ensuring we get the best value for money through the purchases placed, managing supplier relationships and tracking inventory to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained and delivered in time to meet business requirements.
Key Priorities: Order Management: Placing the purchase order for products ranging from raw materials required on site through to vehicle purchases. Tracking purchase orders to ensure products are delivered on time. Supplier Engagement: Liaising with suppliers to ensure value for money on all purchases, negotiating prices to get the best purchase options and evaluating supplier performance. Stock Control: Maintain accurate records of materials purchased, maintain inventory levels. Prevent stock shortages by reviewing stock levels frequently and setting minimum and maximum stock levels. Ability to analyse data and identify trends in stock usage. Coordination: Work closely with the Raw Materials Manager to ensure effective stock management.
Experience
* Minimum of 1 year experience working within a Procurement/Purchasing role
* Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
* Experience of working within an SME
Qualifications
* CIPS membership level 5 minimum or equivalent
* Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Communication Skills
* Strong Communication Skills
* Ability to influence and negotiate through to and including Director level
* Clarity in information presented and ability to question information received
Systems & Data
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office package
* Experience of using ERP systems - Net Suite (Desired)
* Experience of implementing processes and enhancing ways of working
* Previous experience of using NetSuite
