Why this role could be right for you:At Dignus Group, we create safe, supportive homes for adults with complex needs who may need extra help to live independently and achieve the goals that matter most to them.Across our services, Dignus Specialist Care and Dignus Support, we provide residential care and supported living for people with autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities, and physical or sensory disabilities.As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in helping people build confidence, develop life skills, and grow their independence so they can live the lifestyle they choose.This is a rewarding and fast-paced role where no two days are the same.If you are compassionate, resilient, and passionate about helping people reach their full potential, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.What we offer:28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidaysAdditional annual leave at key career milestonesBenenden Health plan for added peace of mind£500 employee referral schemeEarly Pay access for greater financial flexibilityCompany pension to support your futureEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP) wellbeing supportLife assurance at 2x annual salaryOvertime opportunitiesBlue Light Card access with discounts on retail, travel, and leisurePaid training and access to recognised qualifications to support career progressionFully funded apprenticeshipsClear development pathways and opportunities to progress within the organisationWhat the role involves:You will support vulnerable adults with a range of complex needs, helping them move towards greater independence and achieve their personal goals.Working to individual care plans and risk assessments, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs.This may include:Supporting with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and shoppingHelping individuals develop life skills and confidenceSupporting access to community activities, appointments and opportunitiesEncouraging choice, independence and informed decision-makingSupporting individuals to maintain their tenancy and home environmentCompleting accurate daily records, incident reports and support documentationWorking closely with social workers, professionals, families and wider support networksSupporting transitions, including new admissions and moves between servicesResponding calmly and appropriately to incidents, risks and emergenciesYou'll help create a safe, positive home environment where peoplefeelvalued, empowered and able to thrive.Working pattern:This service operates 24/7.You will work any 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and bank holidays where required.Flexibility is important, as the needs of the people we support can vary day to day.What we're looking for:We welcome applications from both experienced Support Workers and people who are new to care but have the right values, attitude and willingness to learn.You may be a great fit if you have:Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people with complex needs, or transferable experience from roles involving people support, customer service, healthcare, education, hospitality or community workA caring, calm and person-centred approachStrong communication and relationship-building skillsConfidence working in fast-paced or unpredictable environmentsA proactive attitude and willingness to take initiativeGood record keeping and organisational skillsCommitment to safeguarding and professional boundariesFlexibility to work across shiftsA genuine passion for helping people live more independent livesA Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care is desirable, but not essential.Full paid training, ongoing support, and access to recognised qualifications are provided, making this an excellent opportunity whether you are building on existing experience or starting a rewarding new career in care.Important informationWe are not able to offer sponsorship for this role.
