The Role:
As the Head Chef, you will be at the heart of our kitchen, guiding and inspiring your team to create original dishes that delight our guests while maintaining the high standards we are known for. You'll be working closely with the General Manager and Area Operations Manager to keep the menu fresh, seasonal, and on-trend. Whilst also ensuring our classic pub favourites are always available to satisfy our regular customers. Your skills and support will be key in balancing creativity and consistency to keep the kitchen running smoothly and ensuring every plate is a reflection of our commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and plating.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team to maintain a high standard of performance and cleanliness. 5* food hygiene ratings are standard for our business.
* Create, exciting menus to keep the offerings fresh and seasonal.
* Ensure food is consistently prepared to the highest standard and presented to our company standard at all times.
* Maintain kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and managing costs to ensure profitability without compromising quality.
* Work with the General Manager to create a strategy for regular menu updates, incorporating seasonal and trending ingredients while maintaining our classic favorites.
* Enforce health and safety standards, ensuring the kitchen complies with hygiene and safety regulations.
* Manage staff rotas and schedules to ensure efficient team operations, including flexibility for evenings and weekends.
* Develop and nurture a strong, collaborative kitchen culture that encourages growth and creativity.
