NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
Role
We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a strong interest in working with individuals with complex mental health needs in a community setting. You will be responsible for your own caseload under the direct supervision of a Band 6 charge nurse. As part of a multi‑disciplinary team within a CMHT, you will assess patient care needs and develop and evaluate programmes of care. You will carry out all relevant forms of care in partnership with patients, carers and other professionals in line with agreed standards and clinical policies without direct supervision. Participation in regular caseload supervision with a named Band 6 CPN will be a critical aspect of the role. Supervision of the practice of, and demonstration of procedures to, student nurses and unqualified staff, and mentoring of nurses undergoing basic nurse training, will also be important.
You need to have a live NMC UK pin to be considered for this post.
