Working Pattern: Days, Weekends (Saturday and Sunday - 4 hours 9am-1pm or 10am-2pm)
About the employer
Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel. We have been supporting older people for over 120 years. The charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty. Redcot, specialising in residential care, is set in Haslemere, Surrey. Overlooking beautiful gardens and surrounded by countryside, Redcot is blessed with a unique, tranquil setting.
Responsibilities
* Help keep the care home clean and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
* General domestic duties such as vacuuming, table polishing, wiping armchairs and dining chairs, and emptying bins.
* Ensure the laundry service runs smoothly and assist with serving meals and refreshments.
* Self-motivated and resilient, work as part of a team, and take pride in ensuring residents are at the heart of the service.
Qualifications & required skills
* Good standard of English and numeracy.
* Comfortable using various forms of digital technology to complete online training.
* No prior experience needed; training provided.
* Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety would be beneficial but is not essential.
