Job Description:
The Principal Electrical Engineer will work within a multi-disciplinary team at the End Client's site, supporting current operations and future programs, particularly in nuclear facilities. The team, comprising Mechanical, Civil, Building Services, and Electrical Engineers, is responsible for developing and maintaining Engineering Design Substantiation documents to ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Author, develop, assess, and manage Infrastructure Design Substantiation documents.
* Manage design changes/concessions and present design substantiations to safety committees.
* Develop Examination, Inspection, Maintenance & Testing (EIMT) schedules and safety reports.
* Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders and conduct Independent Technical Reviews.
* Apply engineering knowledge to design, develop, and maintain engineering processes and systems.
* Justify Electrical design modifications in a high hazard industry.
* Review technical reports and safety case submissions.
Qualifications & Profile:
Seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in current design standards and practices, capable of contributing to concept design, detailed design, and construction stages across various electrical engineering projects. Experience in assessing electrical equipment for hazards and specifying systems for HV and LV networks is essential.
