Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and reputable law firm based in Huntingdon, who are looking to appoint an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join their residential property team.
This is a full-time, office-based position offering a salary around £25,000, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide comprehensive secretarial support to conveyancing fee earners
2. Prepare and format legal documents including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements
3. Handle digital dictation and audio typing
4. Open, maintain, and close client files accurately and efficiently
5. Liaise professionally with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and solicitors
6. Submit Land Registry and SDLT applications
7. Manage diaries, appointments, and administrative tasks as required
Candidate Requirements
8. Previous experience as a Legal Secretary in Conveyancing is essential
9. Excellent typing and IT skills, including digital dictation and Microsoft Office
10. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
11. Confident communicator with a professional and friendly approach
12. Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
13. Familiarity with case management systems (advantageous)
