To be responsible, through management and staff leadership, for promoting and ensuring the highest standards of care, in compliance with statutory requirements to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents with the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church In Ireland.
Essential:
1. Evidence an understanding of and respect for the needs of older people or those with a learning disability within a residential setting
2. Willing to undertake NVQ/QCF training
3. Proficiency in understanding, communicating and writing in English to level required by duties of the post
4. Awareness of Health and Safety practices within a working environment
5. Must be willing to work within the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland
6. Must be available for flexible working, including on call at night and weekends as required
7. Willingness to maintain registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body
8. Must be willing to adhere to NISCC Codes of Practice or N.M.C.
9. Satisfactory Access NI check
10. Registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council within 6 months of appointment is a requirement of this position
