Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee kitchen operations, supervise staff, and contribute to the creation of innovative menus in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Duties

* Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.
* Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a cohesive team environment.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring all dishes meet specified recipes and presentation standards.
* Monitor food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
* Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management to optimise kitchen efficiency.
* Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the kitchen environment.
* Support training programmes for junior staff members to develop their skills and knowledge.

Experience

* Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Extensive food production experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Demonstrable leadership capabilities with experience managing teams of chefs or kitchen staff.
* Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with familiarity with serving standards in high-volume establishments.
* Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £22,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
