We are seeking an organised and proactive individual to join the Cathedral office team. The Cathedral Office plays a key role at the heart of Cathedral life, providing a wide range of administrative and operational functions to all departments and ensures a warm and efficient welcome to all who visit or work with us. Working closely with the Office Manager and wider Cathedral staff, the Office Assistant will often be the first point of contact for many internal and external enquiries and will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the Cathedral’s busy office. This is an entry level role and we would welcome applications from graduates who are keen to start their career in an interesting and varied office environment. Strong IT skills are essential for this role, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. The role also requires a willingness and an ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software as needed. Previous experience in an office or administrative role is therefore not essential and we would welcome applications from candidates with a strong eye for detail, the essential transferable skills and a willingness to learn. Equally this role could suit someone with relevant previous work experience who is looking for a new challenge. This is a full-time role reporting to the Office Manager working Monday to Friday.
