Management Accountant | Wigan | £55,000 to £65,000 + Hybrid (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)
A growing international business is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team, supporting both UK and wider European entities. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accounting professional who enjoys variety, ownership, and exposure to multi-currency accounting within a fast-paced environment.
This role offers a competitive salary of £55,000-£65,000 and a balanced hybrid working model (3 days office / 2 days home).
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L, budgets, forecasts, cash flows, variance analysis, and supporting commentaries.
2. Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries across UK and European entities.
3. Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
4. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
5. Support the preparation of financial reporting in line with company policies and US accounting standards.
6. Assist with statutory reporting and tax compliance requirements.
7. Provide documentation and support during external audits.
8. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
9. Collaborate across teams to resolve financial queries and contribute to process improvements.
About You
10. Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
11. Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
12. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within a multinational environment.
13. Strong understanding of multi-currency accounting.
14. Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Oracle or OneStream is an advantage.
15. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
16. Able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines in a dynamic environment.
17. Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation.
