Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Underwriting Assistant to join our growing public sector team, Risk Management Partners, a division of Pen Underwriting. This role involves providing essential support to our underwriting team, ensuring efficient data management, and facilitating the renewals and new business processes for our UK operations.
Key Responsibilities
How you'll make an impact
* Provide support to underwriters in accordance with agreed service levels.
* Deliver administrative support to the underwriting team.
* Manage data entry to facilitate underwriters.
* Process policy schedules and quotations.
* Collaborate with the servicing team to manage renewals and new business processes for UK business.
* Liaise with claims management partners to ensure underwriters have necessary claims information.
About You
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
* Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
* Basic knowledge of general insurance and underlying legal principles and practices (not essential).
* Effective communication skills with colleagues.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in written communication.
* Good level of numeracy and literacy.
* Proficient in MS Office and other relevant IT systems.
* Strong understanding of Excel.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
We are looking for a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering high-quality support to our underwriting team. If you are detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and have a good grasp of Excel, we would love to hear from you.
