Overview of Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly talented, passionate, and ambitious Vehicle and Prop Concept Artist who is eager to make their mark across multiple projects. In this role, you’ll be working collaboratively with the development team to collectively design and artistically visualize a variety of game assets but with a particular focus on vehicles and props, adding to the games overall identity, depth and realism. You will also champion the visuals in the game, ensuring the originality of the artistic vision is delivered in the final product and Milky Tea’s games stand out in the industry.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Research and source suitable reference materials to support briefs provided.
* Use both traditional mediums and digital software to create initial mood boards, and thumbnail ideation through to final production art asset concepts.
* Drive and support the artistic vision for projects throughout each stage of production.
* Produce high quality digital assets and artwork suitable for production and use in game projects, both technically and artistically.
* Ensure assets meet specifications provided in collaboration with each department.
* Ensure quality control by checking your concepts are defined and adhered to by the team, and that there is a clear consistency with the projects artistic vision.
* Liaise with production on task assignment and scheduling.
* Participate in idea generation sessions and multi discipline workshops.
* Assist Lead Artists in translating feedback and direction to the team, while also helping to communicate the game’s vision to the wider business.
Skills & Requirements
What We Are Looking For
Experience:
* 2+ years’ experience in the game industry or similar field as a concept artist.
* Experience in digital art creation with a broad knowledge of digital art creation and editing software, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
* Experience of concepting a wide range of vehicles and props with the ability to create different designs which consider purpose, style, era, functionality and technological elements.
* Experience in creating accurate and detailed vehicle turnarounds for 3D modelers to use as reference to turn 2D drawings into 3D assets.
* An ability to demonstrate the fundamentals of art and visual design, including composition and colour theory is a distinct advantage.
* A background in fine arts is a distinct advantage.

* A strong passion for all forms of art and creativity, and a drive to improve both craft and process.
* Strong all-round portfolio which showcases vehicle and prop concept art, demonstrating thorough experience of the process from initial thumbnailing to final execution.
* Exceptional attention to detail and
* Ability to handle shifting schedules, priorities, and multiple projects.
* A self-starter who is willing to observe potential pitfalls and to think quickly and help the leadership team to solve problems.
* A great team player with excellent communication skills and can collaborate, teach, and learn from others.
* Willingness to help with other functions of the business
* Be an ambassador for Milky Tea and its brand inside and outside of work.
