Blue Light Card. Individually great, together unstoppable The Role and the TeamWe’re looking for a data-driven and creative SEO Specialist to join our Growth team at Blue Light Card. You’ll play a key role in improving how Blue Light Card shows up in search, from traditional search engine optimisation through to emerging generative platforms like Google’s Gemini and ChatGPT. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine data, experimentation and creativity to help shape and deliver strategies that strengthen our visibility and grow awareness of our app and membership. And while your main focus will be SEO, there’s also scope to develop your skills in App Store Optimisation (ASO), using your existing expertise to drive growth in other channels.Our Growth team is one of the newest at Blue Light Card, using data to maximise member acquisition and engagement. Blending insight with creativity, we’re making a big impact and delivering real results for our members and partners.What You’ll Do Contribute to and execute SEO and GEO strategies that improve our visibility across search and generative platformsConduct keyword research to understand how our audiences (NHS, teachers, armed forces etc.) are searchingAudit, monitor and improve on-page and technical SEO performance, working closely with developers to ensure best practice in site health, crawlability and indexationCollaborate with our Brand & Comms team to create human-focused, AI-friendly content that performs across both search engines and generative platformsDesign and run A/B tests, analyse funnel and cohort performance, and use data to identify opportunities for growth and improved conversionOptimise App Store and Google Play listings to increase visibility and installs, building your skills in ASOMonitor, report and share insights on organic performance using tools like GA4, Search Console, SEMrush and Looker StudioStay ahead of algorithm changes, generative AI developments and SEO trends, bringing fresh ideas to test and learnWhat You’ll Bring Demonstrated experience within a specialist SEO role (in-house or agency) with an understanding of technical SEO, including site architecture, page speed optimisation, schema markup and Core Web VitalsStrong knowledge of tools such as SEMrush, Google Search Console and GA4, plus experience using data visualisation platforms to track, analyse and attribute resultsAwareness of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and how AI-driven search is shaping visibilityPractical experience running A/B and multivariate tests, using insights to optimise performance and user journeysExperience developing content strategies informed by keyword research and user intent and executing these within a CMSConfidence collaborating cross-functionally and communicating insights clearly to non-technical stakeholdersA natural curiosity to test new ideas, explore emerging channels and stay ahead of industry and AI trendsHands-on work with App Store optimisation for a discount, ecommerce or memberships app would be desirable but is not essentialOur CultureOur mission is simple – make heroes happy.
