Proactive Personnel are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our client team in the Newcastle-Under-Lyme Area. The ideal candidate will have a proven experience within CNC programming and CNC Setting/Operating. The role will involved working as part of a dedicated engineering team, machining precision components. Working on batch/bulk work and also bespoke products.
Responsibilities
* Develop and optimise CNC programmes for milling machines.
* Utilise CAD models to set up CNC machines correctly and accurately.
* Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling and materials handling.
* Conduct regular maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
* Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure that all components meet specifications.
* Use hand tools and other equipment to assembler precision components accurately.
* Maintain accurate records of production data, including programme changes and machine settings.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the workshop environment.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer on Milling or Lathes is a must.
* Preferably Hurco WINMAX experience is beneficial.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
* Proficiency in using logic controllers and understanding their applications in CNC machinery.
* Familiarity with materials handling processes and techniques.
* Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
* A keen attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship at all times.
