Introduction
Are you a proactive Electrician / Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge? We're on the hunt for someone like you to take charge of electrical maintenance, handyman repairs, and installations across our depot facilities. You'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly with both planned and reactive maintenance, while also lending a hand with general building upkeep. If you're a multi-skilled engineer ready to make an impact, this is the role for you!
What will I be doing?
1. You'll be the go-to for conducting routine checks, fault-finding, and fixing any issues with electrical systems and machinery to keep everything running smoothly.
2. Installing, inspecting, and testing equipment will be part of your day-to-day, all while ensuring you're meeting safety and regulatory standards like BS 7671.
3. You'll perform general maintenance not just on electrical systems, but also on mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and the overall infrastructure.
4. Following Health & Safety procedures is key-you'll carry out testing, certification, and make sure everything is up to standard.
5. Keeping detailed maintenance logs is a must, and you'll also provide valuable recommendations for improvements to ensure ongoing efficiency.
What do I need to succeed?
You'll need an Electrical Installation qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) to get started, along with a solid understanding of 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. PAT Testing certification is a plus, but not a must. Experience in electrical maintenance within depot or industrial settings will be essential, and familiarity with mechanical or general building systems will be highly beneficial.
