What You’ll Do
* Lead and inspire a dedicated Health and Safety team.
* Shape culture by embedding proactive health and safety practices across the organisation.
* Advise senior leaders and influence decision-making at the highest level.
* Audit and improve compliance through robust governance frameworks.
* Deliver training and champion best practice.
* Act as the Council’s competent person for health and safety matters.
What We’re Looking For
* NEBOSH Diploma and Chartered IOSH Membership (essential).
* Significant senior management experience in health and safety within a large and diverse organisation.
* Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
* Ability to interpret legislation and implement improvement plans.
* A collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
