We are supporting a dynamic, international organisation in Paris, France, with their post merger integration program. As part of this program, we are deploying Workday across a number of functions, to enable the organisation through standard ways of working and organisational agility.

Workday HR Business Analyst and Integration consultant
The Workday HR Consultant will play a critical role in the deployment of Workday by performing business analysis, configuring system functionalities, and driving integration tasks, with a particular emphasis on integrating Workday with various payroll providers. This role requires deep expertise in Workday configuration, business process analysis, and integration methodologies, combined with excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders in a fast-paced, global environment.
This will be a hybrid role, with some time spent onsite in Paris, to allow engagement with cross-functional teams, to ensure a seamless implementation tailored to the company's needs.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
* Conduct detailed requirement-gathering workshops with HR, payroll, and business stakeholders to define business processes and system requirements for Workday modules (Core HR, Recruitment, Absence Management, Advanced Compensation, and Talent Management).
* Analyse current HR processes, identify gaps, and recommend optimized configurations to align with business objectives.
* Document functional and technical requirements, including process flows, data mappings, and configuration specifications.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to validate business processes and ensure alignment with Workday best practices.
* Support user acceptance testing (UAT), including creating test scenarios, coordinating testing efforts, and resolving issues.
Workday Configurations
* Perform hands-on configuration of Workday modules, including business process frameworks, security roles, compensation plans, absence rules, recruitment workflows, and talent management features.
* Translate business requirements into detailed Workday setups, such as custom reports, calculated fields, condition rules, and organization structures (e.g., companies, locations, cost centres).
* Ensure configurations comply with French regulatory standards (e.g., DSN reporting, GDPR) and optimize for efficiency and user experience.
* Test and validate configurations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain system integrity during updates or enhancements.
* Provide expertise in Workday's architecture to support ongoing system maintenance and operational tasks.
Integrations
* Design, develop, and implement integrations between Workday and multiple payroll providers (e.g., ADP, SDWorx, or other local French payroll systems) using Workday's integration tools (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors).
* Perform data mapping and transformation to ensure seamless data flow between Workday and external payroll systems, adhering to French payroll compliance standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.
* Collaborate with payroll vendors and internal IT teams to test and validate integrations.
* Provide technical documentation for all integrations, including specifications and support guides.
* Project Support:
* Partner with the project manager and implementation team to ensure timely delivery of Workday deployment milestones.
* Provide expertise during configuration, testing, and go-live phases for the in-scope modules.
* Train end-users and super-users on Workday functionality and processes, focusing on the French context.
* Support change management efforts by assisting with stakeholder communications and training materials.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience
* 5+ years of experience as a Workday Consultant, with a focus on business analysis, configurations, and integrations.
* Proven expertise in configuring and deploying Workday modules: Core HR, Recruitment, Absence Management, Advanced Compensation, and Talent Management.
* Hands-on experience with Workday configuration tasks, including business process setup, security, and custom fields.
* Hands-on experience with Workday integration tools (e.g., EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio) and integrating Workday with payroll providers.
* Prior experience with French and international payroll providers and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
* Strong understanding of Workday's architecture, business processes and configuration capabilities.
* Familiarity with HR and payroll data structures.
* Experience with testing methodologies and tools for integrations, configurations, and UAT.
Soft Skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with fluency in English required and a working knowledge of French a clear advantage.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on tight deadlines.
Education & Certifications
* Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Workday certifications (e.g., Workday HCM, Integrations, or specific module certifications) are highly preferred.
Additional Requirements
* Must be eligible to work in France and available to work onsite in Paris as required.
* Willingness to travel occasionally for workshops or vendor meetings, if required.
* Knowledge of French labor laws and HR practices is a plus.
