Freeworld Foods are recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Manager.
This is a great opportunity to join a soon to be BRC accredited multi £million turnover business for an experienced professional who is seeking further development in their career.
Reporting directly into the Managing Director, managing a small team, you will be responsible for the supervision of inbound and outbound materials, managing the whole supply chain process from purchase, goods receipt, management of stock and delivery of customer purchase orders and reconciliation through to invoice together with ensuring the team is delivering optimum service to our wide customer base
The role also is responsible for the negotiation and placing of contracts with suppliers of services such as transport and cold storage.
Main Duties:
Supply Chain
* Manage the call off and delivery process of goods or services on behalf of the company.
* Deliver the very best in customer service ensuring regular contact with customers, suppliers to ensure sales orders, stock deliveries and collections adhere to OTIF.
* Management of the demand planning function & forecast analysis.
* Manage relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth running of the contract demand requirements and adherence to contracts
* Management of stock whilst in store. Monitoring stock levels, working to achieve the leanest model but one that meets the demand plan requirements.
* Daily management of 3rd party logistics and cold store providers, management of costs and regular performance review.
* Responsible for ensuring import documentation is flowing smoothly liaise with import agents as necessary and control costs
* Assist in the set-up of new inbound products on all systems in accordance with company procedures & maintain stock item details.
* Ensure we have regular forecasts from our customers to feed into the demand planning model
* Ensure supplier contracts and forecasts are updated and monitored to ensure even call off against agreed volumes.
* Work closely with our parent company in Spain (CN) to monitor demand forecast, amending forecasts / contractual volume accordingly.
* Regular stock reporting / trend analysis to Managing Director to help improve availability / stock handling, to ensure stock is held in the right places at the right time.
* Identify any areas where storage can be consolidated to decrease overall stock holding and supply chain costs.
* Assessment of appropriate haulage methods.
* Overall management of retailer supply chain, forecasts and service levels.
* Management of film stocks and product stocks at third party suppliers as appropriate
* Create KPI’s to track and improve Supply Chain performance and ensure target costs are adhered to
* Management of contract balances and removing stock at risk
Leadership and management
* Lead, manage and support a small team
* Provide training and development in all areas of the department
* Provide support for processes such as performance management, 121’s, coaching, staff communication
* Be a central part of the management team working widely and closely with other managers to support collaboration, engagement and positive working systems, processes and culture
About You
Experience & Qualifications:
* Experience of dealing with outside business partners: customers, suppliers, storage and transportation (Essential)
* Experience of leading, managing or the supervision of others
* Experience of SAP (desirable)

* Ability to manage demand planning tools to ensure stock is flowing optimally inbound and outbound
* An organised individual with excellent time management skills with the ability to work constructively under pressure and to required deadlines.
* Attention to detail, monitoring prices, quantities ordered, delivery dates
* Excellent customer service skills and appreciation of business processes
* Accurate and concise reporting skills with the ability to proactively analyse and validate data
* Competency in number and analytical skills
* Strong competency in use of Excel, Word & Power Point
