The role and what you’ll be getting up to on a day to day basis:
Littlefish is seeking a Procurement & Supplier Manager to come and join our growing Finance team and establish best in class procurement practices from the ground up. As the Procurement & Supplier Manager you will report directly into the CFO.
This role involves:
* Working with the Chief Technology Officer to identify gaps in our delivery capabilities – both current and likely future needs.
* Researching potential suppliers and partners and finding the best in class who also meet the values, standards and commercial envelope that helps Littlefish deliver their world class services.
* Selection of suppliers and partners.
* Negotiating contracts.
* Ensuring timely delivery and the maintenance of required quality.
* Maintaining senior relationships with suppliers to ensure successful engagement, commercial terms, and delivery.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies for: The identification of capability gap and selection of externally-provided products and services.
* Preparation of, negotiation and issuance of contracts, purchase orders and agreements.
* Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
* Assess and mitigate risks associated with IT procurement and contracted suppliers.
* Develop contingency and Business Continuity plans for potential supply chain impact on critical service provision.
* Ensure we manage supplier performance through robust reporting and data, at a generic and specific account level.
* Lead with supplier engagement on social value and modern slavery.
* Recommend and implement process improvements with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement in service provision and efficiency.
What are we looking for in the successful candidate?
* Professional certification in procurement.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in IT procurement or a related field.
* Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
* Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent relationship management skills.
* Proven ability to translate scope, requirements and outcomes into supplier deliverables reflected in clear contractual commitments and definitions.
