Team Leader – Day Services
Salary: £16,195.46 per annum (£16.79 per hour).
Hours: 18.5 hours per week (Predominantly Monday – Friday between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm; flexible and occasional on‑call cover).
Location: Mercury House, Riccarton Hub, Research Avenue North, Edinburgh, EH14 4AP.
About Riccarton (Day Services) Hub
Capability Scotland Riccarton Hub provides specialist daytime support and occasional 24‑hour short‑break respite services for adults with physical, learning and complex disabilities, promoting independence, inclusion and well‑being through personalised care and enriching activities.
About the Role
We are looking for a Team Leader to work alongside a small group of leaders to support our Service Manager.
Responsibilities
* Manage rota
* Staff management, supervision, recruitment and development
* Manage customer activities
* Health and safety compliance
* Compile and check care and support plans for customers
* Manage medication procedures
* Financial management for customers (dependent on service)
* Liaise with families, health and care professionals and social workers
* Provide sleepovers and on‑call support (dependent on service, with additional payments when appropriate)
Experience, Qualifications and Key Skills
* Experience in a similar role and environment desirable
* Care related SVQ Level 4 or willingness to gain this qualification within a given timescale
* Good interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team and independently
