What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Stores Team Leader, the holder of this position shall have responsibility for the kitting and issuing of Production areas (MRO and OEM), and other user departments at Bedhampton. The role includes receiving materials from vendors, correctly booking in goods, and receipt to stores locations. The holder will also work within the packaging and dispatch areas and must train in the correct Stores procedures.
Responsibilities
* Main Stores: Ensure that all materials required for production are issued from the stores in accordance with production schedule requirements, completing all necessary batch documentation to ensure parts traceability.
* Picking: Correctly picking of parts from the stores locations against kitting requirements, ensuring the correct batch numbers are picked and all relevant documentation is completed correctly.
* Cycle Counts: Assist in the daily Cycle Count activities.
* Storehouse Condition: Ensure that the stores area is maintained in a neat and tidy state at all times, and complete daily 5S activity for a given area. Assist others to complete their daily 5S activity as a Team.
* Put Away: Relocate and count all piece parts to correct bin locations as required as part of the ‘put away’ process (9 disp).
* Spare Parts: Maintain the timely picking of spares orders.
* Stock Take: Assist with the Company Annual stock take activities.
* Compliance: Comply with Safety, Manual Handling and Health and Environment legislation.
* Metrics: Maintain daily metrics of all key functions performed as directed.
* Continuous Improvement: Offer ideas for improvements within the stores area to reduce non-value-added activities.
* Packing/Dispatch: Responsible for packing of product and spares required for shipment to customers. Ensure that all paperwork required for product/spares shipment is correctly actioned and reported back to the shipping function in a timely manner.
Good Receiving
* Ensure items received at Goods Inwards are correctly received against paperwork and order specification and that details are entered onto the ERP system. Departmental Target: 130 Lines received Per Day.
* Assist with the unloading of piece parts received from suppliers.
* Check quantities against purchase order and delivery note, noting discrepancies with relevant departments.
* Unpack and inspect all piece parts and update the ERP system.
Inventory Management
* Maintain accurate inventory balances with respect to parts identification, storage location and stores quantity for all materials in all Stores locations. Target is 98%.
* Be part of the Team for assisting in daily cycle counts, results of counts and investigation/rectification of any discrepancies. Maintain accurate transactional traceability, audit trails and data integrity.
