Care Assistant – Woodlands Care Home (Woodlands Care Home, Oadby, Leicester)
Hourly rates: £12.96 to £13.32 per hour dependent upon qualification level.
Pay & Benefits: Fully funded DBS, Comprehensive Holiday Pay scheme, Refer a Friend scheme offering up to £250 per successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
* Assist residents with personal hygiene and selecting an outfit for the day.
* Support residents to dine at mealtimes, maintaining good nutrition and hydration.
* Encourage safe mobilisation around the home using mobility aids and specialist equipment.
* Provide friendship and companionship, and accompany residents on social outings or appointments.
* Maintain accurate and timely written records and complete documentation.
* Participate as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, engaging with other care professionals to promote the health and well‑being of residents.
* Welcome family members to the home and assist with enquiries.
What we're looking for:
* Genuine caring nature and desire to make a difference for residents.
* Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Patience, understanding and respect for residents’ individual abilities.
* Understanding of dementia beneficial as many residents live with this condition.
