About this Role
Are you a Yard Operative, Yard Supervisor, Vehicle Yard Operative, or Fleet Yard Controller looking for a fresh opportunity, or someone with hands on experience in a transport or logistics yard ready for your next step? This Yard Operative role is all about keeping the site safe, organised, and running smoothly so every vehicle is ready when the customer needs it.
* Maintain the yard, car parks, and surrounding areas to a clean, safe, and well organised standard.
* Park and position vehicles correctly to support efficient movement across the site.
* Prepare vans and equipment for hire, ensuring they are ready for collection or delivery.
* Check vehicle cleanliness inside and out, making sure they meet company standards.
* Report any defects, damage, or safety concerns promptly to the branch team.
About You
You enjoy being active, take pride in your environment, and like seeing the direct impact of your work at the end of each day. Whether you come from vehicle rental, warehousing, logistics, or another hands on role, your attitude and reliability matter most.
* Practical, organised, and proactive in keeping things running smoothly.
* A strong awareness of health and safety when working around vehicles and equipment.
* Comfortable working outdoors and staying active throughout the day.
* Confident communicating with colleagues and flagging issues early.
