If you have a strong microbiology background and thrive in a collaborative, quality-focused setting, we want to hear from you.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nAs a Senior QC Analyst, you will be responsible for executing microbiological tests, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and assisting with the training and mentoring of team members. You will help ensure laboratory compliance with quality standards, contribute to audit readiness, and support the delivery of key projects within the quality control function.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform microbiological testing in line with established procedures and timelines.\n\nPrepare workstations, equipment, and materials for laboratory activities.\n\nLead or support investigations into deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.\n\nAssist in writing and updating sampling instructions and test methods.\n\nContribute to project activities, including validation and equipment qualification.\n\nOversee daily laboratory operations when required and support training of new analysts.\n\nMaintain compliance with Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems (QMS).\n\nParticipate in audits and ensure continuous audit readiness.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nA degree in Biological Sciences or relevant experience in a laboratory setting.\n\nAt least 1–2 years' experience in a Quality Control Microbiology laboratory.\n\nStrong understanding of quality standards and Health & Safety requirements.\n\nExcellent attention to detail, planning, and organisational skills.\n\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\n\nExperience managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.\n\nAbility to work effectively as part of a busy and collaborative team.\n\nTeam leadership skills or a willingness to develop leadership capabilities.\n\nSalary, Benefits & Working Hours\n\nSalary: £27,000 – £30,000, depending on experience\n\nLocation: Berkshire\n\nWorking Hours:\n\nMonday to Friday, 10:00 – 18:00\n\nPlus 1 weekend shift per month
